Mr. Handyman® Supports Neighbor-in-Need Program

Teams with East Lake Neighbors Community Association to Help Senior Citizen in Need

ATLANTA, GA - June 15, 2004 - Mr. Handyman® of North Atlanta, the award-winning provider of home and commercial maintenance, repair, and improvement services, continues its dedication to helping local residents in need by joining with the East Lake Neighbors Community Association (ELNCA) to provide major home repairs for an Atlanta senior citizen.

Upon learning of the severe water damage to the home of a 74-year old resident of the Kirkwood community in East Atlanta, Mr. Handyman provided its services and materials through the ELNCA. The home, which has been occupied by the owner for more than 40 years, had sustained significant water intrusion to the front of the house. The water damage, estimated at $10,000, extended to both exterior and interior surfaces, making residency both difficult and unsafe.

Mr. Handyman donated several days of its master technicians’ time to replace damaged siding, roofing, gutters, window sills, interior flooring, and more. They also provided the necessary materials at or below cost, including their new GutterStuff™ gutter protection system which will eliminate gutter cleaning chores and help prevent future water damage to the home.
